Student Volunteer Opportunities
Students can earn community service hours for school organizations, resumes, scholarships, and college admission applications. All hours are verified by United Way staff. Student organizations are encouraged to partner with our United Way to host fundraisers, complete community projects, collect items for those in need, and to participate in team-building events.
Available Volunteer Opportunities
The Franklin-Southampton Area United Way uses the Point Volunteer Platform to manage volunteer sign-ups for all of our events. Register in the Point App to search for volunteer opportunities, to receive notifications of new events, and to keep track of your volunteer hours.

HOST A FUNDRAISER
Help us raise funds for our community by hosting fundraising events like food sales, coin collections, car washes, wear casual days, item sales, and more. Contact us with your ideas and we will help with planning.
COLLECT DONATIONS
Collect items at school, church, or in your neighborhood for our community. We are always in need of books, hygiene items, toiletries, and food. Reach out and see what items are needed the most.
HELP A PARTNER AGENCY
Let us coordinate volunteer opportunities with one or more of our non-profit partner agencies. Projects are available on-site or can be done from school or home to benefit the agency.
VOLUNTEER AT AN EVENT
Our organization particpates in many community events. We are always in need of volunteers to help at our booth during these events, which are posted in our Point App.
TEAM-BUILDING EVENTS
We are happy to coordinate team-building projects in our community for youth groups, school organizations, Scouts, and sports teams. All projects benefit local non-profits and/or the community as a whole.
VOLUNTEER AT THE OFFICE
Student volunteers can earn service hours while helping with office tasks such as fililng, stuffing envelopes, assembling kits, labeling books, and cleaning.
